What Ever Happened to the British Motor Show?

I found this story on the Honest John Website and I agree that we really should have a British Motor Show!

The Paris Motor Show is now in full swing with new car debuts from some of the worlds leading car manufactures, including Jaguar.

I’ve visited the Paris Motor Show and the Geneva Motor Show and they are superb events with displays from just about every car manufacture you can think of.

We use to have one of the best motor-shows in the world, but for some reason, 2008 was the last time the UK staged the show. I agree that the show was in decline for some time before that, but why?

Are we just not that interested in the UK or do we make these kind of events too expensive?
